WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — A Wichita man has been sentenced to seven years and eight months in federal prison for selling methamphetamine.

A federal prosecutor says 46-year-old Michael Ortega-Alvarez pleaded guilty on Tuesday to one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute meth.

Ortega-Alvarez admitted to selling an ounce of the drug to an undercover Wichita police officer in April. Police stopped his truck in May and found a pound of meth in a cooler.
