TOPEKA (KSNT) – On Tuesday Kansas First News reported how the Shawnee County Health Department is preparing for a possible Ebola case.
On Thursday County Commissioners got an update on that plan. Commissioners got a briefing on what seems to be confusing information from the Centers for Disease Control on how the virus is spread and how to protect yourself from it.
They also were told county health officials are updating their contingency plans on nearly a daily basis.
“We’ve been very involved with emergency management has been working with us on this plan development um in making sure that were following things to help the incident easier to manage.” said Health Department Director Allison Alejos.
