(WOOD) It sounded like a simple business deal. Stacy Butler wanted to check out a car she found on Craigslist, so she called the owner.
He agreed to meet at about the safest location Butler could think of: Her mother’s home near Kent City, Michigan.
The seller showed up and offered Butler a test ride around the block. The ride was uneventful.
Afterward, parked back outside of her mom’s home, Butler and the seller began to talk about payment. As the conversation continued, Butler learned the seller’s terms were not what she was interested in.
“I could do sexual favors for him and he will help me get the car,” Butler said.
Her answer was a firm no.
Then things got weird.
