Washburn School of Nursing SNOWflake 5k

TOPEKA (KSNT) – There’s snow on the ground in Kansas yet, but that didn’t stop the Washburn’s School of Nursing from hosting their annual SNOWflake 5k

SNOW, short for Student Nurses of Washburn put’s on the annual to benefit the Marian clinic. The clinic provides health care and dental care to uninsured and low income individuals and families in Shawnee County.

Runners took off at 9 a.m. at the circle drive near Mabee Library and Moore Bowl on Washburn’s campus. Participants received a T-shirt on race day with the donation of a nonperishable food item or baby products such as diapers or wipes.
