TOPEKA (KSNT) – A Topeka man pleaded guilty to robbing a Wendy’s restaurant in August, then jumping into a getaway car driven by his daughter.
37 year old George Christopher Walton, Jr pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of robbery and one count of using a firearm during that robbery.
The robbery happened August 4, 2014 at the Wendy’s at 728 SW Topeka Blvd. Walton, dressed in black and wearing a mask, demanded cash from the register while “brandishing” a gun, then fled.

Formal sentencing will be on January 26th, but as part of the plea agreement Walton will spend 84 months in federal prison.
