Royals fans soak up World Series atmosphere

Alaska native Rich Ross traveled to Kauffman Stadium for game two of the World Series in Kansas City.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KSNT) – Fans from all over the area enjoyed Wednesday’s victory during game two of the World Series. However, one fan in particular made the journey from Alaska.

“This is awesome,” said Alaska native Rich Ross. “When the Royals got on their hot streak my wife said ‘You know you have to go.’ I jumped on a jet, told a buddy where I was headed so he’s here too. This atmosphere is way cool!”

The Boys in Blue captured game two 7-2 over the Giants. The series now heads to San Francisco for games three, four and five.

“Got a hoodie for my wife, a hat for my son and a t-shirt for myself,” Ross said. “I wear it with pride in Alaska and there aren’t a whole lot of Royals fans where I live but gaining more every day for sure.”
