Ebola survivor speaks out

(NBC News) One of two nurses who contracted Ebola while treating Thomas Eric Duncan at a Dallas hospital will soon be going home.

Nina Pham left the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland Friday after being declared free of the disease.

Speaking outside of the hospital Pham said she felt “fortunate and blessed” and thanked the medical staff who cared for her, as well as fellow Ebola survivor Dr. Kent Brantly, who donated blood plasma to help with her treatment.
