TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka Police were investigating a stabbing Friday afternoon which sent several people to local hospitals.
Police were called to 1254 SW Boswell Ave. around 3:15 p.m. on a report of an assault.
When they arrived a man said he and his son were attacked by two men.
The father suffered a self-inflicted knife wound after he stabbed one of the attackers, he claims in self defense.
The attackers then got away before police could get there.
The father, as yet unidentified, was sent to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Police say later several individuals also arrived at a local hospital emergency room with stab sounds.
No names have yet been released, and the investigation continues.
