TOPEKA (KSNT) – Billy Frank Davis Junior is officially a convicted murderer.
Davis was charged with kidnapping, raping, and murdering 8-year old Ahliyah Irvin in March of 2012.
Her body was found shortly after she disappeared, stuffed in the basement dryer of a Topeka apartment complex.
After two days of deliberation, Davis was found guilty of capital murder, premeditated first degree murder, and several other counts including kidnapping and rape.
“Hey, we finally got justice. I’m a happy father.”
Friday morning, jurors will discuss Davis’ sentence. He could be sentenced to death or life in prison without the possibility of parole.
