Experts say get un-glued from technology

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – If you’re child is spending holiday break glued to technology, they’re not alone. According to the CDC’s Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance, 41 percent of U.S. high school students spend an average of three or more hours a day playing video games.

A Kansas State University youth development expert says one to two hours of gaming can be relaxing, but three or more is considered unhealthy.

Researchers say excessive gaming can negatively affect sleep, study habits, and friendships.
