What ‘Back to the Future Part II’ got right for 2015

(CNN) – It’s 2015, the year we were promised hoverboards, “Jaws 19” and a Cubs World Series in the film “Back to the Future Part II.”

We may not have those things just yet but the 1989 film did get a few elements of 2015 right.

Biometrics, large screen home displays and video telephone calls are real thanks to apps like Skype and Facetime.

There’s also 3D movies and holograms, as seen in the movie.

As for flying cars, there are some in the works but don’t count on flying one down the street anytime soon.
