FERGUSON, Mo.(KSNT)-A retired Saint Louis county police sergeant has been tapped to serve on a special commission to recommend improvements to Ferguson, Missouri.
Missouri governor Jay Nixon announced Byron Watson would join the 16-member independent commission.The members are asked to review police and community relations and city services in Ferguson.
Watson is an army veteran and life-long resident of the area. Nixon has given the commission until September 15th to come up with policy recommendations for police.
