Willems tapped to head Kansas State University Foundation

MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Greg Willems has been named president and chief executive officer of the Kansas State University Foundation based in Manhattan.

The announcement came from retired Gen. Richard Myers, chairman of the KSU Foundation board of directors.

“Greg comes to us with extensive development and management experience, having successfully led several major research universities through comprehensive capital campaigns,” said Myers in a written announcement of the posting. “He truly has the experience and passion worthy of leading the KSU Foundation into the future.”

Willems most recently held executive fundraising positions at the University of Hawai’i, University of British Columbia and Texas A&M.

At Hawaii he oversaw fundraising, campaigns and development operations which led them to record-breaking annual fundraising results.

Willems begins the job February 27, 2015.
