LIMA, Ohio (AP) — Authorities say an explosion at an oil refinery in northwestern Ohio broke windows in neighboring homes and was felt 10 miles away.
Police in Lima say no one was hurt by the explosion that happened at about 6 a.m. Saturday.
A fire is still burning at Husky Lima Refinery, sending smoke high into the air.
Lima police Sgt. Andy Green says they don’t believe the fire is a danger to anyone living near the plant. He says the explosion in a processing unit at the refinery was felt throughout the city and some towns up to 10 miles away.
Police also received several calls from homeowners about damage that included broken windows.
