Holton man arrested in Topeka for shooting unoccupied vehicle

TOPEKA (KSNT) – A man is in custody Monday morning after police say he fired several shots into an unoccupied vehicle in North Topeka.

A little before 7 Sunday night, police say the man drove his car into several parked cars at the Coachlight Village Mobile Home Park. He then got out of his vehicle and fired several rounds into one of the empty cars.

Brad Zimmerman, 28, of Holton was arrested after being interviewed by detectives stating he went to the residence to speak with a female during a domestic dispute but she refused to come out. He fired several shots into an unoccupied jeep who he believed belonged to his ex’s new boyfriend.

No one was injured and so far there is no motive for the shooting.

Zimmerman was transported to Department of Corrections for felony criminal damage and discharging a firearm.
