Executions in two states proceed with drugs used in ‘botched’ execution

UNDATED (AP) – Two death row inmates are scheduled to be executed today in Florida and Oklahoma with the same three drugs used during Oklahoma’s botched execution in April. Florida has used the method without incident 11 times.

Forty-two-year-old Johnny Kormondy is set to die at 6 p.m. Eastern Time for killing a Pensacola, Florida, man and then raping the man’s wife in 1993.

An hour later, 47-year-old Charles Warner is scheduled to die in Oklahoma for killing and raping his roommate’s 11-month-old daughter in 1997.
