New branding for Topeka: The Capital City of Fun

TOPEKA (KSNT) –  Topeka is about to have a new title: The Capital City of Fun.

That’s what came out of a meeting Thursday morning.

For more than 9 months, a branding expert has been working with a committee to come up with a brand for the city.

Groups like Downtown Topeka Inc. and Visit Topeka, Inc. will use the brand in marketing.

Visit Topeka says an official announcement and a logo is still to be announced.

The new branding is expected to roll out this year.

Organizers say the hope of this new branding is to bring more people to Topeka and take advantage of the events in the capital city.

Vince Frye, with Downtown Topeka, Inc., says the branding is expected to be all over the city on banners and city vehicles.
