Convicted Topeka murderer to be re-sentenced

TOPEKA (KSNT)- The Kansas Supreme Court has upheld the conviction of a Topeka man.

In a unanimous decision, the state’s highest court affirmed Trevejon Killings’ first-degree premeditated murder conviction in the death of 24-year-old Antonio Jackson. The court, however, vacated killings’ hard 50 life sentence because it was imposed under a sentencing previously found to be unconstitutional

Jackson was shot at a Topeka apartment in the 700 block of south west Tyler in January of 2010.The case now goes back the Shawnee County District Court for re-sentencing.
