CINCINNATI (AP) — A worker killed when an overpass collapsed onto Interstate 75 in Cincinnati has been identified.
A Hamilton County coroner’s spokesman says the worker was 35-year-old Brandon William Carl, of Augusta, Kentucky. The spokesman, Terry Daly, says the cause of death has not been released.
Authorities have said that Carl was killed and a truck driver was injured in the accident Tuesday night. The tractor-trailer driver suffered minor injuries when his rig ran into the collapsed section.
State transportation officials have confirmed that Westerville, Ohio-based Kokosing Construction Co., was in charge of the construction. A message was left with the company Tuesday.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says the busy artery through downtown Cincinnati will be closed at least two to three days.
