State of the Union: GOP compromise?

(NBC News)  Tonight’s State of The Union address won’t be much of a surprise.

President Obama has been touring the country pitching his ideas to help the middle class, so we already have a pretty good idea what he’ll say and how Republicans will respond.

Foreign policy is expected to take a back seat to what Americans are really concerned about right now: Their jobs and their money.

Mr. Obama is expected to pitch tax credits, paid sick days, faster internet and free community college to help the middle class, paid for with $300 billion dollars in tax increases on the rich.

Republicans, meanwhile, say they’re listening to the president for signs of compromise.
