JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – Junction City Police say they arrested a 22-year-old Junction City man last Friday on multiple charges including criminal use of explosives.
Junction City Police Department Chief Tim Brown tells KSNT News that Jacob A. Cameron was arrested about 3:00 Saturday morning during a domestic related incident.
On Monday, police received additional information that Cameron may have further devices at his home located on Windwood Drive in Junction City. Police went to the home, found some suspicious devices and called the Kansas State Fire Marshal Office for assistance. The Riley County Bomb Squad was also brought in for assistance.
Junction City Police cordoned off the area and obtained a search warrant to confiscate any possible material found. As of 6:30 Monday night units were still on the scene.
Other charges for Jacob Cameron include aggravated assault, attempted aggravated arson, aggravated kidnapping, aggravated burglary, damage to property, 2 counts of aggravated assault, domestic battery, battery and 2 counts of criminal threat. He is currently being held at the Geary County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Junction City Police say the matter remains under investigation.
