TOPEKA (KSNT) – Baseball season is almost here. Spring training begins next month in Surprise, Arizona, and Kansas City Royals fans are fired up for the annual ‘Royals Caravan’.
Members of the franchise make an appearance in Topeka at Academy Sports & Outdoors. More than 200 Royals faithful were in attendance on Thursday night.
The 2014 American League Champions gear up to defend their A.L. pennant. One of the young faces on the tour is pitcher Brandon Finnegan. He can’t wait to join the club again for the 2015 campaign.
“To be a part of that team that kind of made history a little bit, its definitely a blessing,” said Royals reliever Brandon Finnegan. “To me all the fans are a part of it, its pretty awesome. Our team goal is to go back exactly where we just ended except win that game seven if it comes to that. We obviously want that trophy, especially, that’s big for any team in the major leagues. Were not gonna stop fighting until we get it.”
