Area middle schoolers experience the life of an engineer

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Area middle school students got to explore an engineering program thanks to Junior Achievement on Wednesday.

Twenty-three students from Washburn Rural Middle School got to experience the life of an engineer at Bartlett and West.

It’s part of the program called Skills to Achieve. It brings students to corporate sites for a day of learning.

The company Employee Volunteers Team taught lessons focusing on problem solving and workforce readiness.
