Junction City Police respond to shooting

JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – Junction City police Wednesday arrested a man in connection with a double shooting incident at a local motorcycle club Sunday.

Police say 42 year old Jackie Oliver of Junction City was arrested on charges of Aggravated Battery in connection with the shooting, and is being held on $25,000 bond in the Gear County Detention Center.

At 3:50 a.m. Sunday morning the Junction City Police Department with the assistance of the Geary County Sheriff’s Department responded to a shooting at The KINGZ motorcycle club at 805 Grant Ave.

Officers found 42-year-old Jackie Oliver suffering from two gunshot wounds. A short time later a second victim, 24-year-old Derrick Dixon arrived at Geary Community Hospital suffering from a gunshot wound believed to be sustained in the same incident. Both subjects were transported from GCH to other medical facilities after being stabilized.

No arrests have been made at this time and the incident is under investigation. Anyone with any information are asked to call the Junction City Police Dept. at 762-5912 or Crime Stoppers at 762-8477.
