Brown County authorities looking for suspect who fled courtroom

BROWN COUNTY (KSNT) – The Brown County Sheriffs office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Michael James Bakos, a 38 year old from Topeka.

Authorities say Bakos is 6’3″ and weighs approximately 260 pounds with short blond hair or shaved head, hazel eyes and wears glasses. He has a large boil on his face.

Bakos was arrested by the Brown County Sheriff’s office on February 4, 2015 on a charge of domestic battery and he bonded out later that same day. Bakos appeared in court on Wednesday and fled from the courtroom after his bond was revoked. He was last seen driving a white 2009 Toyota Camry with Brown County Kansas license plate 139DIM.

He currently has a Brown County Bench Warrant for the bond revocation.

Authorities are asking anyone who may know the location of Bakos to notify law enforcement.
