TOPEKA (KSNT) – A suspect is in custody and a lockdown for the Shawnee County Adult Detention Facility has ended late Friday morning.
Earlier the jail was on lockdown after a threat was called in earlier in the morning.
Major Tim Phelps told KSNT News the jail received a threat from a woman who said she was going to come to the jail with a rifle and do harm to jail personnel.
Guards with weapons were stationed outside the jail Friday morning.
Officials on the scene told KSNT News that a suspect was taken into custody.
