THURSDAY EVENING UPDATE: Our attention remains focused on a winter storm brewing for the upcoming weekend (Feb 28 – Mar. 2).
There are several indications that this storm will bring a three rounds of precipitation through the weekend and early next week.
ROUND 1 – Light to moderate snow from midday Saturday through Saturday evening. An inch or two of accumulation from this round.
ROUND 2 – Narrower band of moderate to heavy snow north, a mix of sleet/snow/freezing rain south. This will last from late Saturday night into midday Sunday.
ROUND 3 – Mainly rain late Monday into early Tuesday.
I will continue to monitor this and update this story periodically as the storm system approaches. Plan on checking back in for updates throughout the week and I will try to glean out the most meaningful data so that you can have a picture of what we’re looking at for this weekend.
