Kansas authorities investigate animal carcasses dumped near Osage County creeks

QUENEMO (KSHB)  Kansas wildlife investigators have closed the case of several animals being found skinned last week in Osage County, saying it appears the be the product of legal hunting.

Jules Dingus-Davidson found the remains of four or five coyotes, a bobcat and several raccoons last week near several bridges around Quenemo.

A dead dog was also found nearby, but wildlife investigators believe its carcass is unrelated to the other animals . The American bulldog likely fell through the ice recently at a nearby creek and drowned, said Ron Kaufman, spokesman for the Kansas Department of Wildlife.
