OMAHA, NE (KSNT) For almost 30 years Kansans have waited for this matchup – and tomorrow is the day that the Kansas

“March Madness” is in full force up in Omaha as we get ready for the ‘Hawks and “Shox”, the fans were everywhere tryng to get tickets to the game, and as you’d expect, it’s a mixed reaction of who they think will advance to the “Sweet 16”.

Jaxon West, a Wichita State fan told us “It’s been a long time coming and we need to win and yea without a doubt it’s going to be great.”

Another Shocker fan, Eric Hogan said “Its exciting man. Its been like 27 years or something since we played Ku so this is why we’re here. I would rather get a bad seed and play KU in the second round than get a top seed and go all the way through it because I just want to play KU.”

Kansas fan Kerry Gaines  says “There’s not anything better. I’ll tell you one thing though. Coming from a KU perspective this isn’t just little brother playing Ku this is little little brother finally getting a chance to do what they’ve always wanted to do, but for us we’ve got everything to lose and nothing to gain.”

” Don’t start no stuff won’t be no stuff. You don’t want to go to war with the shockers. Don’t start no stuff won’t be no stuff, yeah!” chanted one group of Shocker fans outside the Centurylink Center.

To which Kansas booster Patrick Sedarous replied “We’ll hear the Rock Chalk chant at the end of the game, but I think it will be a solid game and I’m glad the matchup happened for sure. Let’s see it. The committee wants it to happen, the state of Kansas wants it to happen, let’s see it happen.”
