Man arrested for DUI after striking power pole

LYON COUNTY, Kan.(KSNT)-  At approximately 4:15 a.m. Saturday, Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to the 3100 block of Road L, in Lyon County for a report of an abandoned vehicle that had struck a power pole.

Upon arrival, a 2003 Pontic Grand Am was found facing southbound, against the pole it had struck.

While waiting for a tow truck and response from Westar, the driver, 24-year-old Levi Hizar called to report the collision. He was then brought to the scene, by a relative.

After investigation, Hizar was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.  He reported leaving the roadway while trying to manipulate his phone charger.
