TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka West High School is holding its annual Military Career Day on Friday.

Senior Junior ROTC instructor Richard Hodgson says there will be static displays of military vehicles from Fort Riley, the Kansas Army and Air National Guard and Army Reserves as well as Navy and Marine Corps. The Kansas Army National Guard has brought in a UH-60 Black Hawk Helicopter to give some cadets opportunities to go on flights.

“The purpose of this event is to expose the students and staff of Topeka West to some of the military’s capabilities and equipment and also to talk to military personnel and learn about career opportunities in the military.”

The event will go on until 2:30 p.m. Friday.
