Jayhawk baseball doubles up New Mexico to earn sweep

Kansas baseball scores 10 runs on back-to-back days to sweep New Mexico at Hoglund Ballpark.

LAWRENCE (KSNT) – Kansas baseball scored five runs over the first two innings after managing just one hit as the Jayhawks cruised past New Mexico on Wednesday afternoon, 10-5. KU tallied three runs in the fourth inning on back-to-back hits, followed by a fielder’s choice ground out.

Kansas rallied on Tuesday night with four runs in the bottom of the 8th to beat the Lobos, 10-9.

The Jayhawks are home this weekend for a Big 12 series against Oklahoma State on Friday through Sunday at Hoglund Ballpark in Lawrence.
