TOPEKA (KSNT) – Shawnee County citizens will soon have another option when it comes to the transactions with the Treasurer’s office. At their meeting Thursday morning, Shawnee County Treasurer Larry Mah briefed commissioners on his plans to open a motor vehicle annex at the Rossville City Hall building at 438 Main Street.
It will be open this this coming Monday from 8 a.m. to noon and on subsequent Mondays from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. Mah said the annex will handle renewals, refunds and disability placards. The office will also handle second-half property tax payments that are due on May 10th. Mah said the the City of Rossville’s participation significantly reduces the cost to provide the service which will be paid for with motor vehicle funds at no cost to the county’s general fund.
