Topeka West baseball earns sweep over Highland Park

TOPEKA (KSNT) – Topeka West baseball fell behind 2-0 after the first inning against Highland Park at Hummer Sports Park but rallied to score eight unanswered runs en route to a sweep over the Scots.

Topeka West won game one 10-3 and game two 13-1.

The Chargers scored three runs in the second inning of game one, followed by five more in the third inning to take control. Topeka West pitcher Skyler Proctor struck out 12 batters as he tossed a complete game.

Topeka West softball also swept Highland Park. The Lady Chargers earned victories of 14-0 and 15-0 at Hummer Sports Park.
