WEST DES MOINES, IA (KSNT) – Hy-Vee says it is recalling it’s “Hy-Vee Summer Fresh Pasta Salad” products sold in its stores’ kitchen department cold cases and salad bars.
The pasta was recalled, says the company, after it learned that frozen vegetables used to make the ready-to-eat pasta was potentially contaminated with listeria.
The frozen vegetables were produced by Inventure Foods of Jefferson, Georgia.
The salad is packaged on the customer’s request from the kitchen cold case and would have been packaged in 16ox or 32ox clear plastic containers.
The store has pulled the product from its stores in Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska and South Dakota.
The company says it has not received any complaints of anyone getting sick from the product.
Those who may have purchased it are asked to return it to the store for a refund.
