Students get a chance to check out future careers

TOPEKA (KSNT) –  Every seventh grade student in the Topeka school district will get the chance learn about a variety of careers.

The nearly 1,000 students were able to take a field trip to Washburn Tech as the first day of the tech school’s Youth Career Days.

It’s a joint initiative between Washburn Tech, USD 501 and Topeka Downtown Rotary Club.

While at Washburn Tech, students learned about 30 different career programs the school offers.

There will be two more days of the Youth Career Days next week.
