Rattlers top A’s, Senators & Brigade split doubleheader

TOPEKA (KSNT) – It was a busy Friday night for summer baseball. The Mid-Plains League had several of its teams in action. The defending league champions, the Junction City Brigade, were in the Capital City taking on the Topeka Senators at Bettis Family Sports Complex.

Game One:
Junction City Brigade 2
Topeka Senators 3

Game Two:
Junction City Brigade 5
Topeka Senators 1

With the split, the Brigade are now (6-2) on the season, while the Senators are (4-6).

And in Rossville, the Rattlers welcomed the Midwest A’s to town for a single game on the diamond.

It’s the Rattlers first win of the season after having several games rained out. Rossville improves to (1-1).
