MANHATTAN (KSNT) – Two vehicle theft investigations are underway in Manhattan after reports were filed Thursday morning and afternoon.
In the first case, police are searching for a white, 2014 Dodge Caravan stolen from the Stoneybrook Retirement Community. The facility on Little Kitten Avenue reported the theft around 7:50 Thursday morning. The van has a Kansas handicapped tag, number 57818. The van valued at $20,000 was parked at the business before it was discovered missing.
Later that afternoon around 1:30, 21-year-old Matthew Ferguson of Manhattan reported that his car was also missing. His black, 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix was taken from the 300 block of N. 15th Street. The car has a Kansas tag, number 655ETD and is valued at $2,000.
Both cases are currently under investigation. Police have not said whether or not the two thefts may be related.
