Shawnee County buys $1.2 million building

TOPEKA (KSNT) – The Kansas Finance Council signed off on an agreement to sell a surplus state property to Shawnee County.

This building will be the home for the county’s new primary health clinic.

The agreed-upon sale price is $1.2 million. It’s slightly less than its appraised value.

The state has used the building as a learning center.

The county’s current health agency office near the hospital district was sold to Stormont-Vail HealthCare three years ago.
