KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — Kansas City police have found a dead man and two other wounded victims at home where the front porch was set on fire several hours earlier.
Police said in a news release that officers first responded to the home about 3 a.m. Sunday because of the arson fire. They returned around 6:30 a.m. because of a shooting. Police said it appears there was an exchange of gunfire between people on the street and the porch.
Authorities found the man who was killed and a wounded man on the porch. The slain man’s name wasn’t immediately released. Inside the home, authorities found a juvenile suffering from a hand wound and two other uninjured people.
Hospital staff was treating the shooting victims.
Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
