SILVER LAKE (KSNT) — Silver Lake Elementary students spent their day getting an interactive history lesson.
It was all part of their Local Heritage Day.
Calvary horses from Fort Riley, Native American drummers and fur traders were just some of the stations that students could go to.
Students learned about Native American tribes, agriculture and the art of storytelling.
The on-campus event was planned as an inexpensive option for a school field trip.
