3 arrested in Junction City following 2-month investigation into marijuana growing operation

JUNCTION CITY (KSNT) – Junction City Police arrested three people after a two-month long investigation into a marijuana growing operation.

Police and the Geary County SWAT team executed a search warrant at a home at 527 W. Pine St. on Monday.

The operation seized an active indoor marijuana grow consisting of 15 marijuana plants, marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, ammunition, two rifles, and one handgun.

Forty-six-year-old Lawrence Nielson II and 34-year-old Mandy Coffey, both of Junction City, were arrested on marijuana and meth charges as well as felon in possession of firearms.

A third person, Richard Bruce Payne Jr. was jailed for possession of marijuana.
