We’re tracking much cooler weather across the area today – daytime temps will be kept in the 50s and 60s. Skies will gradually clear out by the afternoon, as the cloud cover follows the front off to the south and east. Sunshine will dominate the forecast over the next week…at least. Our seasonal average high temperature is 71° – highs will once again go above average as soon as tomorrow. In fact, you can expect temperatures in the upper 70s by Saturday afternoon.
We don’t stop the warming there – highs will nudge 90° (yes, you read that right) on Sunday afternoon. Early October sunshine and breezy south winds are still quite the combination. But, if you just want summer to go away – you might get your wish, almost immediately. We’re also tracking a dry cold front (it’ll be a slight cloud-maker for us) that will move through Northeast Kansas late Sunday night into early Monday morning. Highs will still be above average early next week – but they’ll hold steady in the middle and upper 70s.
Have a great day and enjoy the nice weather this weekend!
