MANHATTAN (KSNT) – A potential suspect in a string of car burglaries has been identified by the Riley County Police. Now, they’re looking for him.

RCPD spokesman Ofc. Mathew Droge says they want to speak with 20-year-old Barrett Stokes of Manhattan. The department believes he may somehow be connected to these crimes, although Droge did not specify why.

Stokes is described as 5’11” tall and weighing 175 pounds. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. Police say Stokes should be considered potentially armed and dangerous. They stress that you should not approach or attempt to detain him. You’re simply asked to call the RCPD at (785) 537-2112 (or 911 if it’s an emergency) or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers at (785) 539-7777.

You may also submit a tip online through their website: www.ManhattanRileyCountyCrimeStoppers.com. The department reminds you that Crime Stoppers is an anonymous service that could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
