TOPEKA (KSNT) — The Topeka Police Department said a male suspect is in custody after a stabbing in the 1500 Block of NW Polk Street Tuesday night shortly before 11 p.m.
On arrival, officers found a man named Todd Nemecheck, who told officers that he had stabbed a man.
Officers were notified shortly after about a male victim that had arrived by a personal vehicle at a local hospital with stab wounds.
The victim was reported to be in critical condition with potentially life-threatening injuries.
The press release sent by police said two subjects were transported to the Law Enforcement Center for interviews.
Nemechek was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on charges of aggravated battery and a warrant.
