2 Kansas residents die in single-car crash in Oklahoma

MARIETTA, Okla. (AP) — Two Kansas residents have died in a one-vehicle accident approximately six miles north of Marietta, Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 73-year-old Mary E. Younger was driving a car north on Interstate 35 around 2 p.m. Sunday when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a guardrail.

The Hays Daily News reports that Younger was pronounced dead at a hospital in Ardmore, Oklahoma. A 29-year-old passenger, Gary J. Younger, also died from injuries sustained in the crash.

Both of the Youngers were wearing seatbelts. Officials are investigating the cause of the accident.
