KSNT Storm Track Weather: Mostly cloudy today, more warm weekend sunshine

We’re tracking cloudy skies as we wrap-up the work and school week. But, despite the cloud cover – highs will push the middle/upper 40s. For some context, our average high temperature for this time of the year is 42°. Temps will soar to 50° over the weekend with wall-to-wall sunshine returning to Northeast Kansas. Yes, another nice winter weekend – enjoy it!

We’re also tracking a sharp cold front that will slice through the Great Plains as early as Sunday night. It should pass through our neck of the woods dry, but it will chop temperatures back into the 20s and 30s on Monday and Tuesday. A few flurries might fly around on Monday, but the vast majority of Northeast Kansas won’t even see a flake. Temperatures will rebound by the middle of next week – we’re tracking highs in the middle 50s next Thursday.

The weather pattern remains quiet and tranquil over the next week (at least). Expect a lot of dry days with sunshine through the middle of February. There are NOT any big storms brewing for Northeast Kansas, any time soon. Stay tuned.

Have a great day!
