TOPEKA (KSNT) – We’ve got your back with some information about changes made recently at a Topeka elementary school.

KSNT News received some calls from viewers asking about the departure of Bishop Elementary School’s principal and a fourth grade teacher.

KSNT News looked into it and according to two letters sent out to parents and released to KSNT News by the 501 School District, Principal Amanda Czechanski is on “indefinite leave” through the end of the year.

The letter says that the school’s Turnaround Officer Cherie Nicholson is substituting in the position until a long term replacement is found.

Also Michael Knapp resigned from the district on February 4, 2016. The district could not comment on the reason for the departures, calling them personnel matters.
