Kansas man sentenced, had collected child porn since 2011

WICHITA (KSNT) – On Thursday, according to U.S. Attorney Barry Grissom, a Pittsburg, Kan. man was sentenced to 96 months in federal prison for distributing child pornography.

John Tyler Gariglietti, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of distributing child pornography.

He admitted in his plea that he used a computer at his house in Pittsburg to access a file sharing network. He stored images of child pornography on his computer that were then made available users on the file sharing network. He told investigators he had been collecting child pornography since 2011.

Grissom commended the Wichita Police Department, the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Homeland Security Investigations and Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart.
