Former men’s basketball head coach, Ben Meseke was honored on Tuesday night for his service and commitment to Hayden Catholic High School.

The Wildcats named their basketball court after Meseke.

Meseke coached Hayden to 12 state championships in two sports. His 1983 team included Topeka Shawnee County Hall of Famers Turgeon and Meier, was the first city boys team to post a perfect record.

The dedication took place during halftime of the boys’ basketball game against Topeka West.
